Dr Siobhan McDonagh
MB BCh BAO MICGP
Dr. Siobhan McDonagh, a Galway native, graduated in medicine from University of Galway in 1996. She went on to complete her GP training in Liverpool in 2001.
Dr. McDonagh is involved in all aspects of primary care with special interests in female health, menopausal health, breast disease and chronic disease management - especially diabetes, chronic lung disease and heart disease.
Dr. McDonagh has completed the British Menopause Society certification course and is trained to deliver British Medical Society gold-standard, evidence based menopause care.
With over 20 years in general practice, Dr. McDonagh brings a wealth of experience to her role. She is committed to providing empathic, individualised and holistic care with emphasis on patient involvement and disease prevention.
Dr Colum Walsh

Dr. Colum Walsh graduated in Medicine in Newcastle upon Tyne in 1992. He completed General Practice Training in his native Liverpool in 2001.
Dr. Walsh followed his family roots to Galway in 1998 and spent 7 years in practice in Carraroe, Co. Galway before joining Dr. McDonagh in Prospect Hill in 2011. He is involved in all aspects of General Practice with special interests in Skin Surgery; Sports Injuries; Joint injections and Occupational Medicine.
Dr. Helaine McIntyre MB BcH, BAO, MICGP, DRCOG
Dr. Helaine McIntyre is a highly skilled and compassionate General Practitioner with a deep commitment to providing comprehensive and compassionate healthcare to patients of all ages. With a medical degree from University of Galway 2016, Dr. McIntyre brings extensive experience and expertise to Prospect Health Centre, offering high-quality care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Having initially trained in General Medicine at Galway University Hospital, Dr. McIntyre spent eight months working in Wellington, New Zealand, further expanding her international medical experience. Dr. McIntyre is dedicated to delivering personalised care, focusing on preventative health, chronic disease management, and overall well-being. She has a particular interest in women's health, family planning, paediatrics, and menopause and she works closely with her patients to understand their needs and concerns, providing practical solutions for better health.
Dr. McIntyre is known for her approachable and empathetic nature, making sure her patients feel comfortable and respected during each consultation. She believes in a holistic approach to healthcare, empowering her patients to make informed decisions about their health and wellness.
Nurse Sinead Duffy
With over 20 years of experience, Nurse Sinead Duffy is a dedicated General Practice Nurse. Passionate about patient care, Sinead works alongside our General Practitioners to provide comprehensive healthcare services, including chronic disease management, immunisations, health screening, wound care, and health education. Specialising in women's health, perinatal health and education, Sinead aims to empower patients to take charge of their health and wellbeing.
A registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI), Sinead holds a Higher Diploma and Bachelor of Science Degree in General Nursing (Hons), a Higher Diploma in Midwifery (Hons) and a Certificate in Counselling & Psychotherapy. Committed to providing compassionate care, she believes in fostering strong relationships with patients to ensure they receive personalised and holistic care in a supportive environment.
Sinead is also actively involved in continuous professional development to stay current with the latest healthcare practices and innovations. As an advocate for preventive healthcare, Sinead encourages patients to take proactive steps toward maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Our four efficient administration staff, Helen, Monique, Aneta and Aoife look after the day to day running of the practice.
