Diabetes Mellitus is a long-term disorder characterised by high blood sugar levels. Early diagnosis and effective treatment are central to diabetes care. In order to effectively monitor and manage the condition, people with diabetes require access to appropriate medical treatment and services, essential medications, self-care supplies, and most importantly, education and support. Poor management will result in poor health outcomes and an increased likelihood of developing complications.

Prospect Health Centre provides a quality service to people with Diabetes at our monthly Diabetes Clinics run by a Qualified Diabetes Nurse. Dr Siobhan Mc Donagh supervises all Diabetic care and treatment in the practice.
